Famous for their designs that incapsulate youth nostalgia, a surreal, warped sense of humour, teenage rebellion and a sense of apathy towards the mundane, Lazy Oaf have been putting glorious irreverence into everything for the past 15 years. To celebrate their coming-of-age, Lazy Oaf are putting on an immersive 3-day pop-exhibition at Protein Studios; it’s basically one big birthday party.
From 4-6th November, Protein Studios will be turned into a “Lazy Land” installation, where giant inflatables, Lazy Oaf icons and surreal landscapes will take you out of London and into the Lazy Oaf dream land. On Saturday 5th November, Beach London will host a “Creatively Challenged” panel discussion featuring Lazy Oaf founder Gemma Shiel and prop maker/illustrator Rosy Nicholas as well as Polyester Zine’s Ione Gamble, the panel will discuss how you can make your art your business, and build something are irreverant and fun as Lazy Oaf. It’s only birthday party to attend next weekend.
