How did you get scouted?
One day I sat on a public bench at Amsterdam Central Station enjoying my peanut butter sandwich. At that moment I noticed a girl was looking at me. First I thought she wanted a peanut butter sandwich as well, but then she grabbed her phone and she called someone. It was really weird because I had no idea what she wanted. I was sure she was talking about me because during her phone call she was obviously looking at me. After she hang up her phone she walked straight towards me. My first thought was again that she was going to ask me for one of my sandwiches, but she introduced herself as a model scout and asked me how tall I was. We had a short conversation and the day after she invited me to come to the agency. I never thought that I could be a model. But since that day I am modelling!
What have you been up to since you got scouted?
Since I got scouted I traveled to a lot of amazing cities like: Milan, Paris, New York, Barcelona, London. Here I did some great photoshoots with very good photographers, and during the fashion weeks I walked in shows for some of the best designers in the world like Calvin Klein, Dries van Noten, Fendi, Moncler, Ferragamo and Bottega Veneta.
What’s been your favourite modelling moment so far?
There are a lot of moments that I enjoyed, but the things that I like most about modelling is that I’am able to visit all those amazing places and meet great people.
Who’s your dream photographer/stylist collaboration?
I really like the style of Bruce Weber. I hope to work with him someday!
What do you get up to when you’re not modelling?
I have many hobbies that keep me busy. I like going out with friends, enjoying good food, watching movies, relaxing and extreme sports. I’m always busy also when I’m not modelling. I think my main activity is enjoying life, but I am also doing that when I am at work of course.
Do you prefer shoots or shows?
It is hard to choose between those two because I like both! But I think I do like the shows a bit more. That’s because I like to make fun during the fashion weeks with the other models who became friends in the meantime.
Where’s your favourite place you’ve been because of modelling?
I think my favourite place is New York. I just love the city and its culture.
Whose your favourite female model and whose your favourite male model?
There are a lot of good models, but if I’m honest I have a little crush on Romee Strijd.
What’s your skincare and exercise regime like?
I am blessed with a good skin so I’m not really doing a special routine, and I think that a good skin is also one of the benefits of a healthy life style! I play sport at least 3 times a week. I like to play soccer and go to the gym. In the summer I like to do extreme sports like rafting, canoeing, kite surfing, climbing and mountain biking!
What’s your favourite thing that you’ve worn on a shoot?
Suits! Just love them!
