Money Man: A Film by AWGE

A$AP Rocky’s creative collective AWGE’s new film Money Man is out now.

Last Friday saw the debut of the eagerly awaited film from long time collaborators A$AP Rocky and Red Bull Studios: Money Man. Featuring two new tracks from A$AP Mob’s new album, Cozy Tapes Vol. 1, the 12-minute film, directed by AWGE (A$AP Rocky’s creative collective) is an intense exploration of the tragic tale of Rina, a character trapped in a life of crime and misfortune.

Taking inspiration from the 1995 film La Haine, Money Man was shot intensely over three days, featuring appearances from A$AP Nast and Skepta, as well as screenwriter and actor Said Taghmaoui, who starred in La Haine. Soundtracked by “Money Man” featuring A$AP Nast and a second song featuring Skepta (both recorded at Red Bull Studios), the film’s premiere brought stars including FKA Twigs, Lethal Bizzle and Leomie Anderson out to The Brewhouse in East London. With the A$AP Mob’s new album deemed “an introduction to a new cozy way. It’s really rap-punk meets alternative underground,” we can only imagine it’ll be as culturally and musically significant as Money Man proved itself to be.

Money Man is out now.
