For New York-based, but French-born eyewear designer Thierry Lasry, the natural location for his brand’s first brand flagship store was 40 Rue du Four in Saint Germain des Prés, an area right in the heart of Paris that Lasry himself calls home. The Thierry Lasry brand, based on the idea of “futuristic vintage”, fuses vintage inspiration with avant-garde and modern elements and are at the forefront of sunglass design, now with an intricately and expertly designed flagship store that’s in total harmony with the brand’s aesthetic.
Designed by Vincent Darré and developed by Achile agency, the store is a world of surrealist details and hypnotic design. For Vincent Darré, it was an “Exercise in style, I played with perspective, geometric shapes and trompe l’oeil effects made possible thanks to fabrics like wood, several mirrors and some brass. For example, the store window with its creative design, is adjustable and reveals a blue eye, of the same blue shade as the Lasry brother’s eyes.” The store is stocked full of limited edition pieces, special archive designs and Thierry Lasry’s famous collaborations, including ones with Dr.Woo and Fendi; it’s your new sunglasses destination.
