It’s that time of year when it’s starting to get a little cold and the grey skies are threatening rain, but Soulland and 66°NORTH are on hand with a brand new capsule collection collaboration – four multi-functional outdoor jackets in black, grey, beige and stripe, combining the technical and design signatures of Soulland and 66°NORTH to create outdoor jackets perfect for every weather.

Contemporary menswear brand Soulland worked on the main design of the jacket, and used their trademark patchwork detailing on the jackets to make it truly Soulland. They also added a reflective strip with multi-colour taped seams over the three-layer fabric construction, designed to give good breathability so you can wear it whether if you’re up a mountain or on the tube. The jacket shape and structure itself is modelled on 66°NORTH’s fisherman’s anorak, which is celebrating it’s 90th anniversary this year – making this jacket collaboration a little piece of history in itself.

Silus Adler, designer at Soulland said “the opportunity to make technical outerwear has been a dream of mine for a long time. It has been a pleasure to work with 66°NORTH and to combine experience, knowledge and resources to make technically advanced and stylish outdoor wear…In the design I have tried to mix the core DNA of Soulland with the technical features of 66°North’s best shells jackets. What I learned in the process was that a lot of the technical engineering, made to combat extreme weather conditions is exactly what you need for urban life with the constant change in weather.”
