Pack-a-Punch Princess

Marc Jacobs dominated the SS17 with their dramatic, feminine and OTT collection. The collection light up the runway (literally) with models in an assortment of trippy rainbow clothing striding down a moody lit runway. A handful of the looks featured fairytale inspiration, with a modern twist. Embellished corset tops were contrasted with hotpants, and billowing floral princess dresses were updated with a mini length and the toughest heels. Delicate frills were anything but modest with sexy sheer details peeking at lingerie.

Brat(z)ty behaviour

Marc Jacobs channelled the inner doll, with sky-high platforms and cutesy coordinates in pretty pastels and luxe materials. Thigh high patterned socks, funky patterns and patch details completed the look, finished off with naughties-inspired mini bags. The designs managed to be the perfect mix between girlie-cute and sensually feminine, with a hint of tough girl.

Work Hard, Play Harder

The haute designs were balanced out with more casual designs that had were preppy and military-inspired. The girls were empowered with boyfriend-fit bomber jackets and camo coats, proving that these are pretty faces that you don’t want to mess with. To top off the zany, fun factor of the collection, the models all sported multicoloured tresses that perfectly matched with their outfit of course. The collection was riddled with sparkling sequins, flowing chiffon and shiny satin – making great use of the feminine and eye-catching materials. We don’t know about you, but after this collection, we’re definitely ready to party.
