How would you describe what you do?

As of right now I’m a model and student!

What do your parents think about your career?

My parents are beyond supportive of my career and everything I’ve been involved in recently. They just want me to be happy and live out my dreams and I love them so much for that.

How did you get involved with Me and You (Julia)?

I got involved with Me and You when Mayan dmed me on Instagram back in February and asked if I would be interested in shooting with her and Julia for a spread they were doing in Paper magazine! They ended up driving down to San Diego from LA and we all hit it off immediately. I had so much fun working with them and we continue to work together as well as hangout to this day.

What are you doing now you’ve finished high school?

I’m going to be starting at San Diego State University as a Business Marketing major and I’m going to continue modelling and exploring a variety of creative outlets to find all my interests.

It’s been a while since we were at school, what are your top 3 tips for surviving high school?

1. Be yourself all the time, the opinion of others doesn’t matter at all.

2. Don’t procrastinate if you can help it.

3. Be nice and respect everyone you around you, teachers, students, everyone. You never know who you’ll come across later in life or what karma you’ll get.

What’s the best thing you’ve done so far in your career that you’re most proud of?

Back in May I was able to shoot for Gucci/Vogue.com and that was one of the best experiences of my life, that was the first time I’d been to New York, the biggest shoot I’ve ever been apart of, and everyone I encountered was so sweet. That day was a dream come true.

You’re super vocal about promoting unconventional beauty! Why is that such an important topic to you?

I promote unconventional beauty because I feel really confident in my own “unusual” skin and I want everyone out there to feel that way. You don’t have to look like people we’re used to seeing in the media to be beautiful. There are no set of standards that make someone more beautiful or desirable than the next person. Everyone has their own individual style and beauty. Confidence and security within yourself is so important to me!!! You can’t do great things unless you feel great.

I’ve seen pictures on twitter of your friends with their phone lights out taking pics of you! Is all your documentation for fun or do you like to think about the more creative side of things?

I mean most of my documentation is for fun! At times my friends and I like to think more on the creative side of things like potentially making music videos and vlogs and other interesting stuff but we haven’t been able to execute any of our ideas very well haha.

How would you describe your style – we’re obsessed with the glittery nails!

I’d describe my style as very girly and I guess kinda 90’s! I’m super into bright colors and big hoops and bamboo earrings! I love glitter and gold and things that make me stand out from a far!!

Why do you think people follow you?

I think people follow me more for my personality than the way I look (hopefully haha) I think most of the time you can see how quirky, silly, and happy I am through all my tweets, pictures, and videos.
