For his newest work, the Parisian producer has reworked dreamy French cover band Nouvelle Vague’s cover of Joy Division’s seminal track “Love Will Tear Us Apart” into a new wave masterpiece. Giving Marc Collins and Olivier Libaux’s cover a complete reworking, Dream Koala – who is the son of Elosia, the singer of Nouvelle Vague’s cover – proves himself to be a musical wizard.

Turning the track from softly sweet indie tune to new wave masterpiece, songwriter/producer/musician/singer Dream Koala has created a floaty, ethereal-electro remix from Nouvelle Vague’s calming cover. On top of this remix, Nouvelle Vague have announced a new EP and album release, as well as a tour later this year, while Dream Koala is currently writing brand new material; Dream Koala and Nouvelle Vague are the ultimate heavenly mix.
