Million dollar question: are you going to get a pair of Chanel’s new Coco Chain frames in gold, silver or ruthenium metal? (We’re not really sure what the last one is, but we do know we want it.) Each pair sees metal chains threaded through leather in single or multiple rows across the temples, depending on which style you go for, another painstaking decision. Nah, we’re not really that precious, but these have jumped up directly to the top of our wishlist.
Take your pick from pilot, cat eye and square frames, each with a variation on the chain link theme. The pilot frames are all leathered up whilst the other models take on acetate with metal inserts. Finally, if all that decision-making wasn’t enough, you need to choose your colourway, from blue-violet hues to a navy and petrol finish, tortoiseshell brown or barely there pink, all come with colour co-ordinated lenses, either mirrored of gradated. Need your specs every day? Chanel have got the opticals for you, available in all the same finishes in square, rectangular and pantos shapes.
