As part of Selfridges’ 400th celebration of the anniversary of the death of Shakespeare, rapper and wordsmith Rejjie Snow – a Wonderland fave – has got involved in the party and collaborated with surf and skate brand Life’s A Beach to create a capsule collection, and is getting ready to put on a one-off performance at Selfridges.
The capsule collection itself is full-on monochrome, and consists of 5 statement pieces: black and white hoodies with Life’s A Beach on the front, Rejjie Snow on the sleeve and “Nothing Is For Nothing” emblazoned across the back; a black long-sleeve sweat top and black tracksuit bottoms (Life’s A Beach is printed on one leg, Rejjie Snow on the other), and a white tee with their slogan printed across it, “Nothing Is For Nothing.” Bold and statement making? Part showcase for Rejjie’s lyrical talents, part poetry recital (the good kind), the performance is not only a chance to marvel at Rejjie’s musical talents — an exhibition of his skills as a graffiti artist will be shown too. This multimedia show will really take on the spirit of Shakespeare’s multi-faceted performances and entertainment; there’s no better way to celebrate the Bard.
Rejjie Snow will perform at Selfridges on Wednesday 20th July, 7-9pm.
