HOUSE OF VOLTAIRE MELBOURNE POP-UP

London’s finest not-for-profit gallery is opening a pretty special pop-up in Melbourne.

You’ll probably already be familiar with Studio Voltaire: a not-for-profit gallery and performance space in Clapham, the Studio has been fostering exciting and progressive new talent for over twenty years through its exhibitions, education projects and studio space – a much needed commodity, particular in London, during these rent-inflated times. Artists as diverse as Marvin Gaye Chetwynd, Jo Spence, and Elizabeth Price have all been involved with Studio Voltaire projects and exhibitions and have all, importantly, benefited in their careers from the Studio’s collaborative efforts.

All good, right? Well yes. But if you’re not in London, don’t fret. You can still help support the projects – not to mention grab yourself something great in the process – through House of Voltaire, the Studio’s Farfetch supported online store, or through a limited run pop-up in the heart of Melbourne.

Running from the 14th-24th July (that means right now), the pop-up is located in the former Le Louvre Townhouse at 80 Collins, a development by HoV’s partner QIC Global Real Estate, and will stock works and products by a whole roster of Wonder-faves including Perks & Mini, David Noonan, Simone Rocha & Kim Gordon and SIBLING. Then there are sweatshirts by Jeremy Deller, etchings by Pablo Bronstein and even limited pieces from the legendary Peter Blake: and that’s only a taster of the many influential figures involved in the series.

Oh, and the best part? Absolutely all proceeds directly support Studio Voltaire’s invaluable work.  So what’re you waiting for…
