Rhythm and Moves AW16 by Hugo Boss

Hugo Boss get rhythmic for their Autumn/Winter 2016 campaign video.

Hugo Boss have long been established as one of the most sophisticated and stylish brands around. For their Autumn/Winter 2016 campaign video however, they’ve upped the fun factor even higher, proving their garments are worthy of a cool cocktail hour and are striking yet sophisticated looks to hit the dance floor with.

Their campaign video, titled “Rhythm and Moves”, showcases just how well you can get into the groove in their AW16 menswear collection. Starring young Danish model Sven De Vries, and shot by photographer Barnaby Roper, the video starts off with De Vries sitting in an otherwise vacant office lobby, with only a stuffed pheasant for company. Before long, he’s snapping his fingers, then twirling, spinning, striding and even somersaulting around the office and through the factory, his energy bringing everything around him to life.

The energetic film is totally in sync with the vibe of Hugo Boss’s AW16 collection – all the staple elements of a traditional Hugo Boss collection are there, but they’re crafted in a unique and contemporary way. The collection uses modern silhouettes and fabrics such as houndstooth, pinstripe and corduroy, to create the iconic motifs that are part of Hugo Boss’s legacy. The looks include a pale grey suit with a houndstooth tie and a houndstooth jacket paired with a sunny yellow tailored trousers and tennis shoes, showcasing the best of the classic but contemporary collection. The video ends back where it starts – with De Vries sitting back in the 70s-like waiting room. The video’s got that fun but sophisticated edge, in typical Hugo Boss form.
