Can you tell us about how you got scouted?
I was sitting with my friend in a shopping centre when I was 14. I had really long straight hair so I looked quite different to how I do now. I also had quite bad skin so not a lot came of the encounter although it got me interested in the industry.
What have you been up to since you got scouted?
I finished high school 2 years ago and then I saved up for a little bit and went travelling around Europe. I then moved from Queensland to Melbourne, which was the best decision I have ever made.
What’s your favourite thing that you’ve worn on a shoot or in a show that you wish was yours?
I haven’t done much high end modelling though not long ago I wore some pretty funky Pageant things that I wouldn’t mind popping up in my wardrobe
Who would be your dream photographer to work with? Or your dream designer to work for?
Probably a Dior fashion show. Everything about the brand is so opulent and delicate it would be special to be apart of its creation.
What do you do when you’re not modelling?
I’m a full time Textile Design student which takes up majority of my time but when I have a spare second I’ll be perched in the corner of a cafe with my face in a book.
What’s been your favourite moment as a model so far?
Meeting new people and being surrounded by those that are passionate about what they do. It’s pretty rare these days!
Which city would you love to live in?
Paris – as cliché as that seems.
Do you prefer shows or shoots?
Shoots.
Who’s your favourite female model and who’s your favourite male model?
Female – Yumi Lambert would have to be up there. Her mix of cultural backgrounds and how it shows in her look is so interesting. She also seems like she’d be a lot of fun.
Male – Korean model Kim Sang Wong because he has the most beautiful and fascinating face it’s so interesting!
