The prestigious ANDAM awards seek to recognise France’s most exciting up and coming designers. Audrey Azoulay, French Minister of Culture and Communication, has thanked ANDAM for continuously “highlight[ing] and support[ing] the fashion designers who ensure the future of French fashion and sublimate our everyday lives”.

The fellowship winners of the 2016 ANDAM Fashion Awards were decided by a jury, composed of two institutional sponsors (the French ministry of Culture and Communication, DEFI), a consortium of private partners – including Chanel, LVMH, Yves Saint Laurent and Moncler – and fashion industry professionals.

From the 12 finalists, three amazing award winners were decided on Friday. The famous Grand Prize, which includes 250,000 Euros, was given to clothing designer WANDA NYLON, designed by Johanna Senyk, in recognition of her attention-grabbing womenswear designs. Senyk will benefit from a two-year mentorship on the creative and strategic dimensions of her business from Chloé President Geoffroy de la Bourdonnayem, as well as a donation from Swarovski of 10,000 Euros worth of crystals to be used during her fellowship.

The First Collections prize went to ATLEIN, designed by Antonin Tron (who won 100,000 Euros and mentorship from Galleries Lafayette), and the coveted Accessories Prize was awarded to TOMASINI PARIS for his sense of proportion, details and quality. As well as the 40,000 Euro prize, Tomasini will also receive a mentorship, where he will benefit from personal guidance and expert advice from the creative director of Longchamp Sophie Delafontaine.

Make sure you remember those names! These young designers are set to be the fashion industry’s newest darlings.
