Here’s your guide to the only sounds you need to hear this week.

Tough Love – Touch feat. Arlissa (Kokiri Remix)

Following crossover hits “So Freakin’ Tight” and “Pony” in 2015 there are big things are on the horizon for Tough Love. Having previously shared new single “Touch”, the duo has now unleased this killer remix from Kokiri. With old school house vibes, you’re going to be dropping this one at every party this summer. Never ones to stay still for long, you’ll be able catch Tough Love at festivals across the UK (including Parklife), Transitions Festival and Cream), each week on Kiss or at their bi-monthly club night at Egg.

Sofi de la Torre – Sit Down

Sofi de la Torre has returned with new single “Sit Down”. The figurehead of her own #popdoneright movement, Sofi is a future force to be reckoned with. “Sit Down” is a new, darker sound for Sofi who released her debut EP Mess in 2015. The video was directed by Philipp Groth.

Karma Kid – Thru The Tundra feat. Aminé

Manchester’s Karma Kid, aka Sam Knowles, has dropped the latest cut from his new EP Man of the Year. “Thru The Tundra”, co-produced with Joe Goddard (Hot Chip, 2 Bears) and featuring Animé, is joyous blend of tribal beats, synths and even the sounds of rainforest. Knowles has a gift for taking the unexpected and moulding it into inventive and infectious tracks. Man of the Year drops on 8 July via Greco-Roman.

Clarence Clarity x Pizza Boy – Splitting Hairs

Clarence Clarity is pop’s most inventive voice. The fierce “Splitting Hairs” tackles the abandonment of the human race by God which is far from the usual source material for a pop record but perfectly befitting the warped sounds created by Clarity. “Splitting Hairs” is released by Deluxe Pain.

The Hour – Answer

We know nothing about The Hour beyond their musical output which speaks volumes. New single “Answer” is shrouded in ominous tones and a stark sense of foreboding. If you want to tell them directly how much you enjoyed the new single you can text them on 07508 425 274.

Tiggi Hawke – Burn Notice

“Burn Notice” is the new single from Tiggi Hawke. The second track to be released from her forthcoming EP, there’s a sophistication to her output – this pop for grownups. With her ethereal cut-glass voice and complex lyrics and imagery, it’s time to start getting excited about Tiggi Hawke.

Manast LL’ – Sookah

Manast LL’ is 21 year-old Parisian artist with a lot to say. Citing the likes of Pretty Ricky, Lil Wayne and Theophilus London, Manast LL’ is set to drop his second EP District 10th Prelude: Free Spirit via Kitsuné. Telling the story of a rocky relationship, “Sookah” showcases Manast LL’s unique delivery and style. An exciting and fresh voice, Manast LL’ is just getting started.

Emmi – You Said You Loved Me

“You Said You Me” is a monster of pop track from London-based singer/songwriter Emmi. Steeped in heartfelt emotion, the masterfully produced track boasts luscious strings and an insanely catching hook. Co-written by Emmi alongside David Dawood (Roll Deep, Tinchy Stryder) and Tonino Speciale (Ella Eyre, Felix Jaehn), “You Said Loved Me” is what it sounds like when someone nails a pop song.

Twwth – Where You Are

Helsinki’s Twwth, aka Matti Pentikaine, has dropped his new EP Dislocation. “Where You Are”, one of the standout tracks, is raw and warped – jagged beats and pitched down vocals. Dislocation is released via Signal Life, the label that Twwth co-founded with Finnish producer Desto.

Hater – Radius

Hailing from Malmö, Hater is comprised of Caroline Landahl, Måns Leonartsson, Adam Agace and Lukas Thomasson. The band’s debut single “Radius” is a sunshine drenched slice of indie-pop, a refreshing 02:26 of blissful chords and earnest vocals. Radius EP will be released on 8 July by Punk Slime Recordings.

The Shadowboxers – Woman Through The Wall

Counting Justin Timberlake as one of your biggest fans isn’t going to do much to dent your increasing reputation, and this delightful new offering from The Shadowboxers lives up to all of the recent hype that the soul-pop boys have created. ‘Woman Through The Wall‘ picks up where the group left off, with their stellar live YouTube series that first brought them to the attention of JT, who subsequently signed the band to his production company, Villa 40.

Ariana and the Rose – Survival of the Fittest (Fells x Joziff Jordan Remix)

Not only are Ariana and the Rose pure champions of creating infectious, left-field pop gems but they also know how to throw a good party too. Following on from the debut instalment of their ‘Light + Space’ immersive events, which kicked off in East London in May, the band have collaborated with rising UK production duo Fells & Joziff Jordan, who have reworked one half of the brand new double A-sided singles. Enjoy.
