Sofi de la Torre has returned with new single “Sit Down”. The figurehead of her own #popdoneright movement, Sofi is a future force to be reckoned with. “Sit Down” is a new, darker sound for Sofi who released her debut EP Mess in 2015. The video was directed by Philipp Groth.
Karma Kid – Thru The Tundra feat. Aminé
Manchester’s Karma Kid, aka Sam Knowles, has dropped the latest cut from his new EP Man of the Year. “Thru The Tundra”, co-produced with Joe Goddard (Hot Chip, 2 Bears) and featuring Animé, is joyous blend of tribal beats, synths and even the sounds of rainforest. Knowles has a gift for taking the unexpected and moulding it into inventive and infectious tracks. Man of the Year drops on 8 July via Greco-Roman.
Clarence Clarity x Pizza Boy – Splitting Hairs
Clarence Clarity is pop’s most inventive voice. The fierce “Splitting Hairs” tackles the abandonment of the human race by God which is far from the usual source material for a pop record but perfectly befitting the warped sounds created by Clarity. “Splitting Hairs” is released by Deluxe Pain.
The Hour – Answer

Emmi – You Said You Loved Me
“You Said You Me” is a monster of pop track from London-based singer/songwriter Emmi. Steeped in heartfelt emotion, the masterfully produced track boasts luscious strings and an insanely catching hook. Co-written by Emmi alongside David Dawood (Roll Deep, Tinchy Stryder) and Tonino Speciale (Ella Eyre, Felix Jaehn), “You Said Loved Me” is what it sounds like when someone nails a pop song.
Twwth – Where You Are
Helsinki’s Twwth, aka Matti Pentikaine, has dropped his new EP Dislocation. “Where You Are”, one of the standout tracks, is raw and warped – jagged beats and pitched down vocals. Dislocation is released via Signal Life, the label that Twwth co-founded with Finnish producer Desto.
Hater – Radius
Hailing from Malmö, Hater is comprised of Caroline Landahl, Måns Leonartsson, Adam Agace and Lukas Thomasson. The band’s debut single “Radius” is a sunshine drenched slice of indie-pop, a refreshing 02:26 of blissful chords and earnest vocals. Radius EP will be released on 8 July by Punk Slime Recordings.
The Shadowboxers – Woman Through The Wall
Counting Justin Timberlake as one of your biggest fans isn’t going to do much to dent your increasing reputation, and this delightful new offering from The Shadowboxers lives up to all of the recent hype that the soul-pop boys have created. ‘Woman Through The Wall‘ picks up where the group left off, with their stellar live YouTube series that first brought them to the attention of JT, who subsequently signed the band to his production company, Villa 40.
Ariana and the Rose – Survival of the Fittest (Fells x Joziff Jordan Remix)
