“We’re trying to achieve 1+1=3, that third person being Her,” say Victor Solf and Simon Carpentier of French band HER, who utilise their masterfully-played instruments and emotive vocals to tug at heartstrings. Envisaging all the woman who inspire them whilst writing their music, HER characterise modern charm, romance and the wonder of the females who they admire. Their new EP titled “HER Tape #1” includes the tracks “A Change Is Gonna Come” (a Sam Cooke cover), Quite Like, Five Minutes, Push The Sky Away (a Nick Cave cover), Union and We Choose/Good Night, and is an absolute must listen.
