British designer Matthew Williamson launches his first activewear collection with the help of USA Pro.
Gone are the days of boring branded sportswear thanks to Matthew Williamson. The British designer has teamed up with activewear experts, USA Pro to create a 10-piece capsule collection of vibrantly printed leggings, zip-up jackets and crop tops that are as appropriate for your lounge time as they are for time on the treadmill.
Across the range you can get your full fix of Williamson over time, with the Alpaca Fade print an archive throwback from AW04, the permanent fixture Butterfly Wheel print and the newly launched Painted Python print. With the summer coming (well, supposedly already here) it’s time to embrace bold tones and Williamson’s palette is suitably technicolour. Clashing is cool once more, pile on as many prints as you dare.
Matthew Williamson commented, “I saw the collaboration as an exciting opportunity when approached by USA Pro. I view active and loungewear as a key component of our expansion into lifestyle in 2016. I am delighted to be able to design for another part of every modern woman’s wardrobe – distinct from ready-to-wear yet important for their everyday lives.”
And of course it’s not all about looking pretty, USA Pro’s expansive activewear knowledge has ensured that all the materials used are up to scratch. With all the fabrics based around polyamide, you can expect your purchases to be hardwearing and durable but still super-soft and almost seamless.
