JW MARRIOTT GROSVENOR HOUSE

Revel in the newly refurbished splendour at JW Marriott Grosvenor House.

Park Room (2)

Beyond the blossom trees and manicured lawns of Hyde Park sits the Marriott Grosvenor House. Currently undergoing a suitably royal refurbishment, the hotel has taken the park as its inspiration, playing on the seasons throughout its luxe decor.

Continuing on their theme, and because you’re truly worth it, take a look to their Royal Suites for ultimate elegance, privacy and comfort across 170 square feet. Enter into your very own grand lobby and take a stroll through the bathroom, walk-in wardrobe, master bedroom, lounge, study/diner and pantry.

Check yourself into a Park View Suite for slightly less space but just as much attention to detail with fluffy brocade carpets and beds big enough for two to stretch out. Premium Executive Suite guests can enjoy much of the same with similar shiny slab marble bathrooms and separate living space for entertaining.

Executive guests can enjoy socialising or relaxing in the lounge away from the hustle and bustle of London’s vibrant streets and help themselves to a complimentary and constant restocked self-service menu, to fit around even the busiest of schedules.

Speaking of dining, the options will have you perusing for a while. Head to the JW Steakhouse for prime cut beef and the chance to dine al fresco at the first shine of the British summer. Treat yourself to some exclusivity in the private dining room and choose your guests perfectly, there’s 12 desirable spots. Corrigan’s Mayfair (headed up by Irish chef Mark Corrigan) serves up world-class show-stopping dishes from English game to fresh shellfish. But now, for our favourite part, afternoon tea, the most leisurely of British traditions which takes place in the Park Room at Grosvenor House, expect tiers of sweet treats, scones and a selection of fine teas and champagnes.

Which brings us to drinks. Settle in for an evening in a booth in the Red Bar to sip your way through the cocktail menu. Or, whether you’re a newbie or well-schooled in the art of bourbon tasting, take your pick from 160 bourbons in the bar specially devoted to the spirit.
