Premiere: Desert Sound Colony – "Moon Juice"

We’ve got an exclusive premiere from otherworldly pop gang Desert Sound Colony.

Fresh from both European and US tours with Canadian electronic heavy hitters Bob Moses, London-based trio Desert Sound Colony are getting set to drop their new EP ‘Signals’ next week. It’s set to be a fairly impressive project, given that DSC have evolved from a solo project back in 2014 (their debut EP on Scissor and Thread was a considered introduction that won a fair amount of buzz) to a loveable three piece keen on sonic texture and drifting, otherworldly vibes.

We’ve already seen an impressive first release from the EP (the beguiling title track) and now we’ve got the distinct honour of premiering the other cut from ‘Signals’: “Moon Juice”. “Inspired and informed” by the band’s recent touring, everything from the song’s cosmic title to its spacey, reverberating sound whispers a gorgeously dreamy atmosphere that’s perfect, as it happens, for a snoozy Friday afternoon. Plug in, and let your mind meander to this digital-age lullaby – heaven.

Head to the EP launch on 18th May at Queen of Hoxton
