With a residency at Ibiza’s Blue Marlin this summer – and a deal with Sony Music – things are looking pretty good for of-the-minute DJ squad Housekeeping. Consisting of man about town and social influencer Jacobi Anstruther Gough Calthorpe (what a mouthful), Taylor McWilliams, Sebastian MacDonald-Hall and Carl Waxberg, and specalising in an impossibly likeable blend of funk and deep house, Housekeeping tour the globe to play at the most turnt international parties in London, New York, Mexico and Ibiza. Oh, and in Amsterdam on a crane hundreds of feet into the air: just cause, why not? In essence, they spread good, hedonistic vibes everywhere they go and put on some of the most creative and exhilarating shows around – something we can definitely get on board with.
Between all that, they’ve also somehow found time to put together a new video called “The Initiation” that we’re pleased to be able to bring to you exclusively first. Shadowy, creepy, and just a little bit Satanic, the short depicts some fairly unsettling goings on – including the ritualistic initiation of the title, plenty of glittering bottles of Angel Champagne, and some racy lingerie fit for a dominatrix – all to the soundtrack of thumping electro. Sounds good, right? Well, if you want to catch the boys live but can’t wait till the summer, head to KOKO in Camden where they’ll be spinning the decks to a crowd of 2000 plus. Don’t worry, you won’t be spirited away and made to take part in something devilish.
