Can you tell us about how you got scouted?
I was scouted at the Clothes Show Live whilst I was on a school trip in December 2014, but only started modelling at the beginning of 2015. I was walking around with my friends and a scout from my agency tapped me on the shoulder and asked if they could take my details and some photos.
What have you been up to since you got scouted?
I have only done a few shoots since, including Vogue Italia online, as I am sitting my GCSEs in a month so I have been focusing on school work. I go to a boarding school in Berkshire, so most of the time I’m working, but I try to come back to London as much as I can.
What’s your favourite thing that you’ve worn on a shoot or in a show that you wish was yours?
I think my favourite piece was a Dior dress I got to wear from their SS15 collection, which I absolutely loved but I also wore a Saint Laurent wool jumper that I would probably most like to keep as it was so comfy and easy to wear and would go with most of my wardrobe. I don’t think I would have the opportunity to wear a Dior dress around and about!
Who would be your dream photographer to work with? Or your dream designer to walk for?
If I got to walk for Valentino it would be a dream!! I am obsessed with every piece in their recent collections. My friend and I joke that to own a Valentino gown is on our bucket list! But there are so many other designers such as , Giamba, Burberry, Dior and Chanel which I would be so honoured to walk for.
What do you do when you’re not modelling?
Well since I basically live with my friends as we are all at boarding school together, when we get down to London I just like to hang out and go shopping with them. I have a house in Wales, so when I’m there I mostly ride my horse and compete in the local shows, but in the winter I ski in the French Alps with my family and one of my oldest friends which is my favourite holiday of the year.
What’s been your favourite moment as a model so far?
Probably going into my agency for the first time when I was 14, I was so nervous! I didn’t realise I would be signed immediately . Although the photographer Masmai on this shoot was so lovely, she made us all miso soup !!
Which city would you love to live in?
Aside from London probably New York, I have been there 3 times now and every time it gets better! One of my best friends is there right now and I asked her to bring me something back from Dylan’s Candy Bar! I think its so vibrant and happening and obviously it’s one of the fashion capitals of the world, but I’m not going to lie, F.R.I.E.N.D.S. and Gossip Girl have probably influenced that decision!
Do you prefer shoots or shows?
I love shoots because I get to meet some really inspirational and interesting people and going back to school afterwards feels so surreal, but I love the contrast. But I’m also really excited about doing my first show season very soon!
Who’s your favourite female model and who’s your favourite male model?
I think my all time favourite model is Twiggy because I love 60’s fashion and she is so Iconic. But currently my favourite models are Maartje Verhoef, she is so beautiful and always flawless and Edie Campbell , as she is so versatile, plus she is an event rider! For male models, Zoolander of course! Actually I once saw David Gandy in my agency and he looked amazing!
What do you do with your time off?
At the moment I don’t have much time off as I’m working for GCSEs but , I’m so excited about this summer! l’m going white water rafting down the Grand Canyon with a bunch of family friends and then we are going to Malibu afterwards so really once I’m finished I’m going to just chill.
What song always gets you dancing?
“Weapon Of Choice”, Fatboy Slim, the one with Christopher Walken, legendary!
