Next season’s going to be a big one for Pitti Uomo. As you probably know, the menswear trade show has already signed up Gosha Rubchinskiy to appear as a guest designer (a position filled last time by Juun.J and Adidas x White Mountaineering) for SS17, and now they’ve only gone and got Raf Simons involved. Raf’s namesake menswear brand will be showing their SS17 collection at the event along with an as yet undisclosed “special project”: excited? We are.

It’s not the first time Raf has graced Florence with his presence; he has previously held shows for both his own label and Jil Sander there, as well as an exhibition (and book, as Raf-heads will know) called “The Fourth Sex. Adolescent Extremes”. Unsurprisingly, Pitti were pretty pleased about the news, with one spokesman saying, “we are both happy and proud to be welcoming Raf Simons back to Florence.” Who wouldn’t be, really?
