Bulgari B.zero1 at Milan Design Week

Bulgari celebrate B.zero1 and Milan Design Week in an oversized installation.

In celebration of Milan Design Week 2016, Bulgari have recreated its B.zero1 collection on a mega-scale. In collaboration with the NaNA architecture studio, the gardens of Milan’s Bulgari Hotel have been overtaken by 18 three metre steel rings, all interlinked into a triangle.

Taking inspiration from the B.zero1 line, the installation takes characteristics from the B.zero1 Perfect Mistake ring, using three materials, three gateways and three shades of gold. Those in Milan for Design Week can see the structure in its full geometric glory during daylight, or lit by rings of golden light after sunset.

Also on show at Milan Design Week, the Bulgari boutique has been dressed up in B.zero1 designs and harks back to Bulgari’s history, steeped in tradition but constantly reinterpreted. At the time of the birth of B.zero1, three jewellery prototypes were made but one gold ring only ever saw the light of day, this year sees the unveiling of a pink, white and gold edition named B.zero1 Perfect Mistake, along with a stretched, elegant bangle.
