An Italian Pop sensation in the making, Giulia is set to take the charts by storm this summer with her impending debut album, Raze Me to the Ground. An unashamedly turned up, super-produced effort, the London-made record mixes country influences (partly down to Nashville writer and production wizard Don Mescall) with crisp songrcraft and polish to devastatingly addictive effect. We’ll have to hold on till to May for the finished effort, but Giulia’s single, “Addictable”, is premiering now, right here on Wonderland.
The video, which follows Giulia and her gurl gang on a nocturnal odyssey around our beloved capital, is an instantly likeable effort that proudly tips its hat to the Pop queens of yesteryear – 2016 marks 20 years since the Spice Girls dropped their iconic single “Wannabe”, and Giulia sees “Addictable” as a spiritual heir to the tunes of everyone’s favourite fivesome – while staying fresh thanks to Giulia’s unique vocals and the track’s thoroughly modern beats. Bubblegum bliss if ever we’ve heard it.
