Premiere: RØMANS – "Silence EP"

Get down with the new EP from RØMANS exclusively right here, right now.

Sometimes it’s those backroom guys who never crave the limelight who’ve actually got the most talent. Case in point: RØMANS. He’s a London-born multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter and producer (the list goes on) who’s worked with some pretty darn impressive artists – think John Legend, Disclosure, Mary J. Blige, and even some yet-to-be-released work with Alicia Keys and Clean Bandit. With a CV like that, it goes without saying that RØMANS’ got the skills behind the decks. However, it was only recently that he decided to show his face, and his astounding voice, to the world.

Cue Silence, his debut EP that’s premiering exclusively on Wonderland right now. A four track record of eclectic, deeply soulful music, Silence features a guest spot from Rejjjie Snow (one of our coverstars this issue) on “Prisoner”, which has already been making big waves thanks to Radio 1 and 1Xtra plays, as well as editing work from AlunaGeorge on the title track. We could go on all day about these songs, their intelligent production and, of course, RØMANS’ stellar voice, but it’s probably better if we leave it to Tyran “Ty Ty” Smith, co-founder of Roc Nation, who said of the record upon hearing it, “when I heard them I knew no one else could sing these like RØMANS. I can’t wait for everyone to hear his music.” Us neither.
