Dover Street Market Launch

Fashion mecca DSM has opened its shiny new doors in Haymarket. Obsessed.

Since it first opened its doors on, you guessed it, Dover Street, DSM has quite literally been fashion’s mecca. Stocking every on point brand from Vetements to Gosha and pretty much every single piece of Commes Des Garçons imaginable, it’s the kind of store you can never leave empty handed, even if this means a serious hit to your bank balance. With five floors of fashion delights, everything from cute accessories to straight-off-the-catwalk labels have been housed in the luxury concept store. Founded by Rei Kawakubo (of Commes Des Garçons) DSM has expanded to have stores in both New York and Tokyo, bringing the most covetable brands to fashion-heads all over the world.

Now, 12 years since its initial incarnation, DSM has been reborn in an all-new space in London’s Haymarket. Continuing in its tradition of redefining what a luxury store is and should be, the store has reached new levels of concept-store-vibes, allowing each brand a permanent space to present their collections. Think custom brand-designed spaces featuring unique lighting installations and even sound art creating “beautiful chaos” in store. Talk about forward thinking, but then, what would you expect with Rei Kawakubo as the founder.

The retail space will continue to stock cult favourites, the obvious CDG in all its forms, London favourites Molly Goddard and Craig Green as well high fashion staples, Loewe, Dior, Gucci and Raf Simons. Then, there’s notable new arrivals like the first Palace Space outside its original Soho store. Basically, everything you have ever dreamed of brand-wise under one shiny new roof. Needless to say we’re obsessed, but as always, Kawakubo can sum it up best for us, “I want to create a kind of market where various creators from various fields gather together and encounter each other in an ongoing atmosphere of beautiful chaos; the mixing up and coming together of different kindred souls who all share a strong personal vision.” the fashion visionary has said.
