Watch: Flatbush ZOMBiES – "This Is It"

Brooklyn’s best rap-beasts are back.

Flastbush ZOMBiES released their debut album, 3001: A Laced Odyssey this month. The Skepta-collaborator’s first full record skyrocketed straight to number 1 on the US iTunes album chart, unsurprisingly. The album follows their much celebrated 2012 mixtape, D.R.U.G.S. a.k.a. ‘Death and Reincarnation Under God’s Supervision’.

Their first single from 3001, “Bounce” got the GTA treatment for the video. The follow-up, “This Is It” is just as good. The trio offer up everything you could hope for from a rap outfit, gold grills, blunts and moves good enough to rival Drake’s. But, instead of the usual stereotype saturation: naked girls and cash flying around, the three get washed out in a hazy white shoot, complete with spliff-smoke, naturally. Maybe they’ve taken a leaf out of Skepta’s book, what with his penchant for an all white look, right down to the cap and shoes. Either way, we’re into it, all about the vibes and we’ll be quietly nodding our heads to this on the commute home all the way down the Central Line.
