Amongst the slew of synth pop revivalists, Brooklyn-based four piece Stone Cold Fox are doing things a little differently. By staring their song producing process with an indie-rock core, they craft songs that are essentially guitar led, before channeling that heart into an addictive electronic, synth-heavy format. If the first two releases from their forthcoming EP, Tunnel Vision, are anything to go by, the record will be making big make waves when it drops soon.

One of those releases – “Change My Mind” – has been given the remix treatment by fellow New Yorker Computer Magic, whose solo-project work has garnered a cult following, and is premiering exclusively on Wonderland. Computer Magic said of the project, “I had a lot of fun getting to remix this Stone Cold Fox song. It’s nice to get to work on other people’s tunes and do what you envision with them, tried to add a bit of my own Computer Magic vibe. It’s a great track!” Fortunately, Stone Cold Fox were just as keen to hear what she had done with their song, explaining, “we love remixes because it’s the only time we fully get to give something up for someone else’s interpretation. A few years back we played a CMJ showcase with Computer Magic and we’ve been huge fans ever since. Her style is so unique and we were really excited to see what she could do with this song.” A match made in heaven – with the sound to prove it.
