Premiere: Hunter As a Horse – "The Passenger"

We premiere the brilliantly creepy new cut from Hunter As a Horse.

Berlin-based duo Hunter As a Horse are the weirdly named but very talented band orchestrating deliciously dark folk-synth. If that sounds a bit strange then that’s because it is. But in this case, that’s no bad thing, as their unique, vaguely creepy sound had already caught the attention of the guys over at American Horror Story (it featured in an episode of the latest series) and, of course, us here at Wonderland.

Consisting of Paul Gala on piano, synths and machines, and Mia van Wyk on guitar and vocals, Hunter As a Horse are all set to release their new EP The Two Magics Vol. 1, the first big release from which is “The Passenger”. Premiering exclusively here, the track is a haunting, cinematically produced number which features a particularly hypnotic organ refrain and some whispering, atmospheric vocals from van Wyk. It’s indisputably great stuff, and unlike anything else you’ll hear right now: watch out for these guys.
