Doused in Americana (obviously), Coach lived up to their achingly cool reputation for AW16.
Feelin’ Thrifty
From garish but attention grabbing golden leather boots, to Jackie O white sunnies and frilly bibbed shirts, the vintage inspo was strong at Coach this season. Couple anything from the collection with your favourite finds effortlessly. Letterman jackets were a firm favourite opening the show across six looks, with the number of patches attached growing every time. Granted, we’ll be hunting high and low for the most obscure ones we can find until we’ve saved up enough for a Coach original.
American Dream
It’s been the strongest theme in Coach’s lines for the last few seasons, somehow Stuart Vevers has managed to mix it up every time. This season, the small town was the focus point, with checkered prints and ruffles that would fit into any adorable scene from Little House on The Prairie. City slickers were given a look in with neatly cut weekend bags and biker leather.
Coach’s Cowgirl
Of course, a traditional look at American culture wouldn’t be complete without a nod in from cowgirls. Naturally all the wonderfully superlative cliches came in, all suede and studs everywhere. Exposed stitches and seams would have made for humble looks if they weren’t finished to Coach’s infinitely polished and professional standard.
