PREMIERE: VITAMIN – “THIS ISN’T LOVE”

We premiere the glossy new video from four-piece pop crew Vitamin.

Although you might usually turn to Leeds based artists for some spiky techno or a bit of rapid fire jungle, the four lads from Vitamin take a slightly different approach. They’re indie poppers with a bit of sugar-coating to sweeten the deal and, at 20 years’ old, they’re doing alright. Having played together in various guises since they were just 12, they finally decided to hit the music-game full time last year. One student house and a catchy debut EP later, and the boys have just released their dancy follow up To Believe. It’s a little bit spikier than their first record, but still qualifies as good old guitar led pop that’ll have you humming those catchy choruses for days.

The band’s newest release since To Believe, is ‘This Isn’t Love’, a heartfelt slice of guitar led goodness that we can premiere exclusively today on Wonderland. Mixed by Chris Zane (who’s got production credits with the likes of Friendly Fires and Passion Pit), the song is, according to frontman Jared Laville, “about the journey you take in a relationship from the beginning to the end, and when you come to realise that you can’t reciprocate the love that is given to you. Realising ‘this isn’t love’ can feel like a revelation so we made the music feel celebratory and free, to reflect that feeling.” That bouncy melancholia is also reflected in the video, which is a little bit pink and glossy, and a little bit plain weird (always a good thing). Plus, we haven’t seen a boyband rock all white looks like this since East 17 – and you can’t ask for more than that, can you?
