A$AP Rocky has joined forces with GUESS for a throwback hip hop collection.

Since Nas, Wu Tang, Mobb Deep, and pretty much every other East Coast hip hop act name dropped GUESS back in the ’90’s, the brand’s been fondly associated with rap’s golden age. It really shouldn’t come as a surprise then, that A$AP Rocky – whose extremely influential personal style throws directional high fashion pieces with throwback streetwear classics – has collaborated with the brand on a capsule collection. Speaking about his pieces Rocky explained, “it’s taking archival designs and adding a new twist, and developing new colorways. Something for men, women, boys, and girls around the world. It’s a very personal collection: limited and very focused. I think this is dope because hip hop hasn’t seen these color ways and patterns since the early ’90s.”

The line, consisting mainly of denim pieces, is Rocky’s first collection for a fashion brand and features trucker jackets, overalls, long-sleeve mockneck t’-s and a number of other GUESS staples reworked in the rapper’s own inimitable way, with the A$AP Mob’s dollar sign emblem even finding its way into the classic GUESS logo. It’s safe to say that given Rocky’s loyal following, the collection is sure to sell fast when it drops later this month on the 15th.
