At Louis Vuitton’s new exhibition at Grand Palais this weekend, sport and fashion come together for a pretty special occasion.
Louis Vuitton have a long and illustrious history of creating ingenious luggage solutions for transporting precious items – even if nowadays the Louis luggage is the precious item. They’re probably right people to trust then, with three of the sporting world’s most important trophies. For the first time, the 2018 FIFA World Cup trophy, the Webb Ellis Rugby World cup trophy, and the America’s Cup trophy will be brought together and displayed as part of Louis Vuitton’s ‘Volez, Voguez, Voyagez’ exhibition at Grand Palais this weekend in Paris.
The three super-prestigious trophies will accompanied by their LV travel cases that were crafted in the House’s historic workshop in Asineres. Michael Burke, CEO of the brand, remarked: “Only the winners have the right to embrace these iconic trophies, at the end of a fierce competition. Louis Vuitton packs these trophies, protects these legends and allows them to travel. Victory travels in Louis Vuitton.” The ‘Volez, Voguez, Voyagez’ exhibition retraces the label’s journey from its founding in 1854 until present day and is curated by Olivier Saillard, so if you’re lucky enough to be in Paris this weekend, you know what to do.
