You might remember last week Gucci released their SS16 campaign images that were shot in and around Berlin and featured all the eccentricity and idiosyncratic chic you would expect from Alessandro Michelle era Gucci. In other words, there were frilly collars on lacey shirts, boldly printed suits with flared trousers, and 70s sepia shades. Well, now the brand (which has been revitalized under Michele’s newly poetic direction over the past year or so) have released a short film to accompany the campaign.
Shot by Glen Luchford, the video sees the Gucci gang of models – including our current Wonderland cover-girl Peyton Knight – running around Berlin and racing up an escalator in a shopping center. Oh, and there’s skateboarding. Sadly though, the peacock that featured so prominently in the images is missing here. Nevermind, it’s still an impressively weird vision from the one and only Alessandro Michele.
