King Karl has shot us over two technicolour new videos for Chanel’s SS16 campaign. Entitled ‘City Western’, the videos recall the hugely ambitious SS16 show which took place in a miniature airport reconstructed within Paris’ Grand Palais and was painstakingly detailed, with Chanel themed ticket desks and departure boards and models wheeling suitcases (very chic ones, mind) behind them. Well, these videos may be shot on the streets of Brooklyn rather than an airport, but the spirit of travel is clearly within them – not least because the highly covetable Coco Cabin case makes a showing. As for the clothes, they’re fluid, floaty, and colourfully languid enough for any warm-weather getaway: makes you desperate for summer, doesn’t it?
Wonderland.
