Sibling Knitivity

Nothing like a knitted nativity scene to warm the cockles.

We are head over heels in love with Knitwear supremos, SIBLING. It’s also most noticeably at this time of year that we get our knit-crave on and want to be decked out head-to-toe in their collections. AW15’s punk aesthetic had us reminiscing on Saturday mornings spent trawling Camden lock, and is – as we’ve discovered – super cosy to boot.

Another thing we love here at Wonderland is Christmas. We’ve already got that Mariah Carey Christmas album on in the office, a giant advent calendar for all and it’s only a matter of time before Friday drinks turns into a mulled wine affair. Luckily for us, those glorious knit-experts at SIBLING are with us on this one, and have unveiled their very own Knitivity (get it?) at Hoi Polloi, thoroughly bringing the Christmas cheer to everyone who lives, visits or even passes through East London. Talk about that generous Christmas spirit! The fully-fashioned knitted and crocheted nativity scene features a host of crazy creatures including a flying Angel Gabriel and everyone’s fave guiding star – which in this case is embellished with crystals. Shine bright like a diamond we say. Conceived initially in 2013 by Joe Bates, Sidney Bryan and Cozette McCreery, the Knitivity this year will see Hoi Polloi make a donation to St Joseph’s Hospice in loving memory of Joe Bates.
