PREMIERE: BLØSH – “GIVE IT AWAY”

We premiere a fresh track from BLØSH, Oslo’s finest indie twosome.

Norway gives a lot to us as a culture: minimal interior design, the transcendental combination of smoked salmon and dill mustard, and, of course, moody crime-noir novels featuring lonely maverick detectives. But from Oslo’s dark winters, you might not have expected to come BLØSH’s gloriously upbeat indie pop. Believe it though, as together, Madrid-born cellist and singer Teresa Bernabé and Oslo-native guitarist Jørgen Berg Selva have crafted an infectious and optimistic sound that we’re going to be hearing a lot more of soon.

The pair met at Liverpool’s Institute for Performing Arts and have been making waves with their catchy electro-pop tunes since 2014. Previous super-listenable singles have included the fiendishly addictive “Keep Your Tongue” and the kooky, whistle-heavy “C.A.t.L.Y (Can’t Afford To Lose You)”. But now the duo are back with their best cut yet – and we’re proud to be premiering it. “Give it Away” is just the thing for a midweek pick-me-up: it’s unabashed, instantly enjoyable stuff that will have you – in the best way possible – thinking back fondly to your mid-00s indie days  (don’t worry, we’ve all been there).
