We premiere another beautifully orchestrated track from Vienna-by-way-of-Brighton producer, salute.
When we spoke to next-hot-thing producer, salute, back in September about his hometown, Vienna, and his love of the UK music scene, he revealed how he began making his own instrumentals: “I was 14 and basically just making music in a living room on my parents’ computer and dabbling around not really having a clue about what I was doing.” Fast forward from those inauspicious beginnings, and it’s definitely safe to say that salute has more than a little bit of a clue what he’s doing now.
We loved some of his recent tracks, like the fiendishly moreish “Castle (Magic)” and the high-end electronic production of “VXV (Way You Do)”. Now, he has another EP, Gold Rush, coming out next week which we can’t wait to hear. Until then, we will content ourselves with premiering his latest song, “Diamond (Gold Rush)”, which is every bit as lush and sharp as its title suggests: it layers sultry, pop-ready vocals over an underground synth-scape to gorgeously genre-blurring effect. So, do as we have done, and stick it on repeat until the EP drops, all the while remembering that this guy’s only 19…
“Gold Rush” is released on 6th November on 37 Adventures.
