Following press previews, Mademoiselle Privé was launched at the Saatchi Gallery in full Chanel style, celeb laden and sparkling.
You can’t have a real Chanel party without Karl. It just wouldn’t be the same. The Saatchi Gallery was graced with Mr Lagerfeld’s presence last night for the official opening of Mademoiselle Privé exhibition.
Celebrating the life of Mademoiselle Chanel, the archives have been unleashed into the West London space exhibiting jewellery and clothing alongside the story of her life and first boutique. It’s not all historical, Chanel are looking to the future with an accompanying app to guide you round.
If you even glanced at Instagram last night, you will have seen the hoards of celebs enjoying the exhibition including Julianne Moore, Vanessa Paradis, Lily-Rose Depp, Lily Collins, Isabelle Huppert, Geraldine Chaplin, Jamie Bochert, Stella Tennant, Rinko Kikuchi, Alice Dellal, Jemima Kirke and Rita Ora. DJs included Lily Allen, Jonnie Wilkes and the inimitable Jarvis Cocker. If that wasn’t enough, there were live performances from St. Vincent and Jamie Bochert.
Mademoiselle Privé runs at the Saatchi Gallery until 1st November.
