“Acting as a child helped me deal with rejection from a very young age. […] It made the first few years as a model easier.” Maddison Brown’s a wise head screwed on pretty, 19 year-old shoulders. One of the most stylish girls on the acting circuit, Steven Meisel snapped Brown for Miu Miu’s Subjective Reality campaign this season, alongside Wonderland favourites Stacy Martin and Mia Goth.
In this year’s Sundance Film Festival-screened Strangerland, Brown starred alongside fellow Aussie Nicole Kidman in her debut cinematic feat. Securing a central role, Brown plays Lily, Catherine (Kidman) Parker’s daughter, whose disappearance in a sandstorm pushes her parents’ relationship to the limits.
When quizzed about her dream role, Brown muses, “I loved the role of Anna Morales played by Jessica Chastain. I LOVE JESSICA CHASTAIN!” We love you, Maddison Brown.
