Freedom at Topshop × CSM

Central St Martins student Lucie Davis teams up with Freedom at Topshop for a jewellery collection that celebrates the beauty of imperfection.

In a world filled with unrealistic expectations of perfection, we’re pretty into the idea of celebrating our imperfections and championing individuality here at Wonderland. Luckily for us, so is Central Saint Martins student Lucie Davis.

Freedom at Topshop and CSM have collaborated, challenging second year students to design a jewellery collection on the theme of ‘Women and Power’. Lucie Davis came out top, with a collection of four temporary gold tattoos that aim to reveal and highlight skin imperfections such as freckles, spots and scars, allowing them to shimmer and shine through.

“I think if everyone can come to terms with the fact that we are all not perfect (and that that’s a good and beautiful thing) I feel the world would be a slightly more positive place with less pressure to meet unrealistic goals.” Says Davis. She hopes her work will “encourage people to see differently…to question notions of jewellery and inspire a greater appreciation and ownership of ourselves – to turn our vulnerabilities and differences into something powerful and worthy of flaunting.” Sounds spot on to us.
