Italian heritage brand Car Shoe takes it back to basics in their new video showing how their iconic moccasins are hand-crafted.

In their new video, “Car Shoe – The Making Of”, the Italian artisanal company has brought their focus back the importance of craftmanship. The company was founded in 1963 by artisan and race-car enthusiast Gianna Mostile and is now under the expertise of the PRADA group – they’re best known for their luxury driving shoes. These moccasins, unique for their sole of small rubber nubs, have been a favourite with the famous for years including Ingrid Bergman and JFK.

During Milan Fashion Week Car Shoe premiered the video as well as offering passers-by to their Via della spiga flagship store to see artisans making the shoes.
