Manchester group MDNGHT end the summer on a high with their track, “Into The Night”, premiered with Wonderland.
MDNGHT’s boys identify themselves as a collective. They’re too polished to be a band, with metronome precise ticks of percussion and effervescent balearic rushes that sound somewhere between the wind and the sea. Their new track, “Into The Night” isn’t quite ‘gun fingers out in Ibiza’ though, it hasn’t got that drop that will have the club opened mouthed, screaming and throwing drinks into the air. It’s dance music for the quiet ones, it’s for that chilled out guy in the corner of the party who’s near silent but still taps his foot in time with every beat and exhales the words of the chorus under his breath.
“Into The Night” might be understated but lead singer J’s falsettos cut above the beats with an impressive range, hard as you might try. There couldn’t be a better time for this release as the summer’s drawing in and we’re all trying to hang on to every last second, “Into The Night” is the perfect epilogue to wind down to after three months of dancing.
“Into The Night” is out now with remixes from Grant Nelson, De$ignated, North 2 South, Animal Music and Kardanski.
