Meet new face Teresa Oman. Here, she talks about her wild side, dream dresses and her undying love for Austin Powers.

How were you scouted?

I was scouted by a local label called Spell in my hometown of Byron bay. I was walking to the beach and they asked me if I wanted to do a shoot for them. I thought it sounded like a fun idea, and after that I finished high school and was picked up by an agency in Sydney.

What’s been your favourite moment so far as a model?

Doing loops and flips in an old fashioned open top two-seater plane for a shoot in Budapest! That was surreal.

Who’s your ultimate model pin-up?

Anja Konstantinova. She has the most strikingly unique beauty inside and out. I’ve always looked up to her as a model, and now we are super good friends.

Have you ever been shot in a piece you wanted to take home? We love the sphere pink earrings from your Seascapeshoot!

All the time! I love getting to play dress up at work. Not long ago I got to wear this fantastic Valentino rainbow dress.

Your Insta is so lush and green, we’re appreciating the foliage. Where would be your dream wild holiday?

Thank you. I absolutely love the outdoors, and definitely like to upload a pic that’s easy on the eye. Right now, I’m dying to go back to India. Also the Andaman Islands off the coast of India, where elephants swim freely in the beautiful turquoise oceans!

And you’ve got so many snaps of furry friends! If you were an animal, what would you be?

I think I would be a Wallaby, an Aussie one. I’m always hopping all over the joint.

Your Miu Miu glittery sunglasses are gorgeous! What’s one piece of clothing you couldn’t live without?

I love those groovy glasses, I had them in red and then had to get them again in lilac! The item that comes with me everywhere is a vintage denim jacket I bought in Portland years ago. It’s got rainbow embroidery and beading all over it! I like to think of it as my lucky jacket.

Your Shining twins costume is incredible. What’s your favourite film?

I was very proud of my best friend and I when we managed to pull those costumes off a day before Halloween! We actually bought those dresses from a kid’s department store in Brooklyn. However, my favourite film is Austin Powers – I just can’t decide which one. The costume design on all of those films just makes me want to dress like I’m going to a 1969 disco every day!

You’ve posted about Bluesfest a couple of times, did you enjoy it? Who’s your favourite band?

Bluesfest Byron Bay is an absolute must. My parents work super hard all year around to put it on and it is growing bigger and bigger by the year. I’ve now attended 17 out of nearly 22 years of being on this earth – lucky me! My favourite band to listen to at the moment is Tame Impala. Their new album is brilliant!
