Hailee Steinfeld – Love Myself
Hailee Steinfeld just earned herself a place in the pantheon on popstar debuts. Hot on the heels of her stunning appearances in Pitch Perfect 2 and Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” video, Steinfeld has released “Love Myself”. This single, produced by Mattman & Robin, is an infectiously delicious self-empowerment anthem. Let’s hope she’s not required to film a sequel to Ender’s Game and have to put the recording on hold.
jj – Fuck It
Enigmatic Swedish pop act, and onetime Ne-Yo collaborators, are back. They recently announced a new EP, cheerily titled Death, and dropped new track “Fuck It”. What they lack in joie de vivre they make up for in ability to make amazing music.
Clarence Clarity – Will To Believe
Clarence Clarity has unveiled the video for his monstrous track “Will To Believe”. The video is as appropriately unsettling as the track. Clarity makes majestic noise – the lovechild of Lou Reed’s Metal Machine Music and Sly & The Family Stone’s Life
Cooly G – Trppin B
Merissa Campbell, aka Cooly G, has established herself as one of the UK’s finest producers. To help underscore that claim, Cooly G has released “Trippin B” – the first taster of her new ep Armzhouse. Cooly G has gone all out, producing a house track that’s heavier and harder than any of her earlier releases.
Sabella – Made It Right
Based purely on her lyrical output, Sabella’s had her heart broken a few times. Don’t pity her too much though because she’s immensely talented and makes really good pop/R&B. She’ll be snapped up in no time. “Made It Right” is the second track released from debut EP Home Truths.
