Producer Alex Banks puts his spin on electro-trio The Acid’s new single “RA”.

Since joining forces in 2013 with their self-titled debut album, States-based-trio The Acid are putting a whacked-out, tripped-out minimalist spin on electronic music as we know it. Eradicating the need for flamboyant trickery, Ry X, Adam Freeland and Steve Nalepa combine elements of industrial-tech, R&B and deep-house to create a lo-fi sound that’s subtle in origin whilst making a lasting impression. With a Brit, an American and an Australian at the helm, they create multi-faceted tracks that cross-cut their native cultures. It’s no surprise they’ve been compared to the likes of The XX and RY X.

Here, we premiere the Alex Banks remix of their single “RA”. Atmospheric, with invasive rolling beat-work and ethereal vocals, it’s one to get lost in the woods with.
