PREMIERE: MOZAICS – “DO THIS WITH ME”

The latest track from the four Jersey boys paints a vividly heartbreaking picture. We’re not being dramatic. Pass the tissues.

10 points to Mozaics for making the most depressing and beautiful music video in equal measures that we’ve seen in a while. When you think of the Channel Islands, you don’t immediately imagine a melting pot of creativity but these four Jersey boys have done alright. Christian, Craig, Rich and Chris self released their debut single “Lights” in 2013 and won them airtime with Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 1 as well as BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio.

“Do This With Me” should come with a warning. If you’re feeling vulnerable or have had a bad morning, you’re going to cry, the band even admit it themselves, taking to Facebook to spread the message about the track: “It’s really special to us and will almost certainly bring you to tears if you have a soul.” A dynamic representation of love, family and just about every emotion you can muster, Mozaics’ latest video is a roller coaster to say the least but it’s so beautifully shot, it’s worth the turmoil. The song itself is much the same, with lush harmonies, enrobing synths and the lightest percussion, all in a wonderfully minor key.
