PREMIERE: BO ROCHA – “TANGERINE FLAKE”

Chilling on a Tuesday? Bo Rocha’s debut track ‘Tangerine Flake” makes for the perfect audible accompaniment.

Originally born in London, but inhabiting the rural Channel Islands and Berlin before returning, Bo Rocha a.k.a producer and female vocalist Katie Sproule debuts her track “Tangerine Flake” with remix by High Lucia. An ex piano and violin student at the Purcell School of Music, Rocha has quite clearly broken away from any plans of becoming a classical musician, but certainly hasn’t rid herself of any musical skillsthat she developed along the way.

Stream-of-consciousness vocals lead the dreamy track, which Rocha says is inspired by the writings of Tom Wolfe moulded around the aim to capture the moment when the human mind commits to taking a risk. As you’d expect with any narrative concerning risky business, the track is rife with emotion, held up by crisp rap beats and a thick synth-y tone that runs throughout.

The first of many to drop over the course of 2015 and the perfect soundtrack to kick back to, “Tangerine Flake” is available on SoundCloud now for your listening pleasure and endless replays.BO_ROCHA_PRESS_1_LO
