Tiger of Sweden stripped back suiting with denim and metallic sheen licked geometric prints.
21st Century Gatsby
The most favoured look at Tiger of Sweden was white suits. Not in a flashy way but reminiscent of the 20s old school glamour F Scott Fitzgerald might have surrounded himself with, the bright whites and creams making the boys look like they’d just arrived to the party on the Riviera from the yachting club, complete with silk squares blooming out of their breast pockets. Looks were brought up to date with trainers, t-shirts and loose cuts amongst the tuxes and bow ties.
Humbug stripes
Prints came in checks, stripes, spots and one abstract geometric number. Grey tones on tees felt similar to that classic caricature of a prisoner’s uniform – somehow in a good way. Colours got cuter as the show progressed with sweet wrapper shiny hues of sky blue and chocolate brown, teal and burnt orange. The biggest contrast was the last jacket, metallic deep red, silver and turquoise fixed together in an eye-crossing mesh of triangles, circles and squares.
Dressed up denim
Ronnie McDonald dipped into denim this season in an attempt to strip things back and while his efforts to get casual were admirable, it was the denim suiting that was the most interesting. Taking double denim to a whole new level, get one for yourself and team it with a denim shirt for an update on linen for summer suiting.
