We premiere Guildford girl Georgia Buchanan’s half electro, half mellow RnB track, “Sinners”.
Get hooked on 24-year-old Georgia Buchanan’s under-the-breath vocals and lulling syncopations. Having already received BBC Introducing air time just days after uploading “Sinners” online, she’s picked up comparisons to the likes of Lana Del Rey and Banks and it’s easy to see why. This self-written song relays the word “Holy Water” again and again, building up a dreamlike trance with layers and echoes.
With more innocent Brit girl charm in her voice than Lana’s Americana storytelling twang we think Georgia will go far. Gearing up towards her debut EP release this summer, we’re just left hoping we don’t have too long to wait for her new music. If you can’t survive until then, hunt down “Sound You Need Vol.1”, a track she cowrote with south Londoners DE$IGNATED made its way onto there.
